In order to purchase a Shar-Pei from Dixie Shar-Pei, you can come and visit or we will be glad to ship. The following may help to answer some of your questions.

When you have made a definite choice, you will need to send a deposit in order to hold your pup/dog. Generally, the deposit is 1/2 of the purchase cost. At 8 weeks of age, the purchase amount is due in full. Upon receipt of payment in full, the pup/dog will be ready to go to its new home.

Pick up at Dixie Shar-Pei can be arranged with an appointment time. Please call or e-mail to confirm this time.

The airlines have specific regulations that must be followed in order to ship.

        In order to know your exact airline fees, you will need to know the major airports that are close to your home. I ship out of Huntsville International Airport. If the pup is very small (8 to 10 weeks), then a 100 size crate will be used. If the pup is a little bigger (3 to 5 months), then a 200 size crate will be used. If an adult is shipped, then usually a 300 or 400 size is used. This information is important to know when you speak with the airlines.

        Payment can be mailed overnight with a cashiers' check,  pay pal, or sent through Western Union.  Western Union is the quickest method and we can usually give a 24 hour turn around once the $ is received. If you choose Western Union, then take it to your closest Western Union and we pick it up in Decatur, Alabama. Upon receipt, I will arrange for a visit to the vet to obtain the health certificate. Then we are able to put the pup/dog on the airplane if the weather is permitting.
